Thanks for the Football League seeding clubs in the draw for the second round of the League Cup, Coventry City are unlikely to get the draw against Aston Villa that many City supporters want.
There are 36 Football League Clubs and 12 Premier League clubs who are not in European competition in the second round draw which takes place after the Rotherham v Sheffield Wednesday game tonight.
It looks likely that there will be two pots and the seeded clubs (decided on league position) will play the non-seeded clubs.
The seeded clubs are:
Villa, Birmingham, Burnley, Cardiff, Charlton, Coventry City, Derby,Fulham, Leicester, Man City,Middlesbrough,Newcastle, Norwich, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Reading, Sheff Utd, Sunderland, Watford, West Brom, West Ham , Wigan, Wolves and Barnsley/ Sheffield Wednesday if The Owls beat Rotherham.
The non-seeded clubs are:
Barnsley/Rotherham, Blackpool, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Carlisle, Doncaster, Hartlepool, Hereford, Hull,Leeds, Leyton Orient, Luton, MK Dons, Morecambe, Northampton, Notts Forest, Oldham, Peterborough, Rochdale, Shrewsbury, Southend, Stockport, Swansea and Wrexham.
