City could be forced to play at least one league game at Villa Park if the Football League reject City's proposals to have all their first three matches away from home.
Villa May Be An Option
Mr McGinnity said: "Villa may be the only option because most of the other Midlands clubs will be starting their season's on the same day.
"The Premiership doesn't start until the week after but whether a club would allow us to play on a fresh new pitch before the first game remains to be seen.
"There are also cost implications to look at and convenience for supporters. It may be that if we get to a situation where we can't play our first three games away that we may conduct a poll and get the views of the fans."
