Wakefield - Vivash Has Made Me A Better Player

Charlie Wakefield has said that Coventry City Assistant Manager Adi Vivash has made him a better player.

The pair were at Chelsea together and one of the reasons why Wakefield opted to be sent to Coventry on transfer deadline day in January.

Wakefield, who has been used so far as a substitute by Mark Robins, told Alex Lowe: “I’ve worked with Adi before so I have a great relationship with him and he knows how I play and when I put it all together it just made sense.

“He’s made me a better player and developed me and he knows my directness and knows what he wants out of me and because it was a first team opportunity, it was what I needed to show everyone what I’m about.

“I’m very direct, I just want to get on the ball and get at people, create goals, score goals and simplify the game.

“If I’m one on one with my man, I’m going to get at him and put balls in the box and that’s what the Gaffer wants.

“I want to get the ball out wide or get the ball in behind and just cause problems for the opposition.”
