Former Coventry City youngster Adam Walker has turned down a move to Luton Town.
Walker, has been studying at Coventry University whilst playing for Nuneaton Town in the Conference and has hit some good form this season, which has brought him to the attention of The Hatters.
However, Walker has turned down a move to Kenilworth Road, feeling that it was not the right time for him.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Derek Brown, Nuneaton Town boss Kevin Wilkin said: “Adam has always done well at Nuneaton. We’ve been patient with him since he came to us from Coventry City and he’s flourished during last season’s promotion success.
“But now that’s over and done with I’m confident he will show the qualities that highlighted his excellent start which plainly had not gone unseen by Luton.
“In all fairness to them they came to us and told of their interest in one of our players and we gave Luton the necessary permission to have talks with him.
“We are a club that doesn’t stop players progressing in the game. Luton are a top non-league club and it was only right to let him have talks.
“However, Adam felt it was not the right time for him to move on and that was what I wanted to hear. He’s a key member of the squad and has a massive role to play in our bid to remain in the Conference.”
