Walsall's Malvind Benning felt a hero and a villain in his side's 2-1 defeat to Coventry City last night.
Benning scored a 53rd minute equaliser for the Saddlers with a goal from close range before failing to stop Michael Petrasso getting in a cross which led to Nathan Delfounseo scoring in the 83rd minute.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Benning said: “It’s crazy how quickly things change. “I was on top of the world when I scored my goal but personally I could have done much better with their second goal. But these things happen and I will learn from it.
“It was unbelievable when I scored. I can’t explain how happy I felt. I thought from that point we could go on and win the match and I think we were on top for much of the second period.”
