Walsall FC have said that they are disappointed with the date given to them by the Football League for the re-arranged League One game with Coventry City at Sixfields.
The League have decided that the game will be played on Wednesday March 5th, the same day as an England international, meaning that Walsall have three games in six days, the same as the Sky Blues, who face Shrewsbury on March 2nd at Sixfields, Walsall on March 5th at Sixfields and Colchester United away on March 8th.
Walsall said in a statement: “On this occasion, the league have ruled in favour of Coventry’s suggested date, more than a month after the original tie was due to take place, much to our disappointment.“
