City travel to Birmingham not having won at St Andrews since October 1985 but Ward, who is signing autographs at the club shop at the Ricoh Arena this afternoon, feels that City can get something from the match.
"Expectations are high amongst the lads," said Ward to the CT. "We know we should have won at Southampton because in the first half we created chances without really being dominant.
"It is a massive game at St Andrews but we will go there still confident and hopefully, the fans will see some of our best football, it works like that sometimes.
"Birmingham are right up there in the top two so it is a good test for us. "We played Wolves off the park but if we have to grind out a win we will do that and as long as we get a positive result then it will be good enough for us."
