The City manager, enjoyed a successful spell at Vicarage Road, told Sky Blue Player: "Watford is one of my old clubs and yes I have fond memories of my time there but I'm Coventry City manager now and I want to create some new memories here.
"We need to get some games on the board but last Saturday we kept a good clean sheet against a very good team and if we can keep doing the clean sheet thing and score some goals at the same time then I think we have a good chance of being successful this year.
"Despite what people have said about Watford in the past few weeks about them being candidates for this and that, I know they will be a tough team and they will be difficult to crack.
"The like to play good football on the counter attack and they are a quick side but we know where they are dangerous so we just have to stay focused on doing our jobs."
