Former Coventry City goal keeper Marton Fulop is set to leave Sunderland in search of regular first team football, with West Bromwich Albion favourites to win his signature.
Italian side Udinese have muddied the waters and are now interested in signing the Hungarian international 'keeper.
The 27-year-old joined Manchester City on an emergency loan late last season following Shay Given's shoulder injury.
Ironically, Coventry City goal keeper Keiren Westwood replaced the injured Given in the Republic of Ireland team during his injury enforced absence.
To add to the irony, Sunderland are the team most heavily linked with trying to sign Westwood, but if West Brom fail to sign Fulop, they too, could start chasing Coventry's highly talented Westwood
