Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that his squad are in a better place this season than a year ago.
Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole, Pressley said:“We’ve been working hard to change the culture of the club and I think we’re in a better place this season.
“I'm pleased with the progress we’ve made and very pleased with the mentality of the group – they work hard and they’re hungry for success.
“I’m not sure what people on the outside think about our prospects, but we are confident we can make an impact. We believe we have the quality of players even if the bookies perhaps don’t see it that way.
“We suffered a hammer blow with the deduction at the start of last season but we made a positive of that and the team spirit was tremendous. I don’t think people would necessarily see us in the play-offs this time but there’s still an expectation, certainly from our supporters.
“When you play for Coventry City you’re playing for a big football club with a good history and we have to live up to that – and there’s no doubting it would be a huge lift for us all if there was some sort of news regarding the stadium. Here’s hoping!”
