Coventry City loanee Alex Nimely has said that the players are determined to keep City up.
The Sky Blues are now only two points behind third from bottom Nottingham Forest and six points behind fourth from bottom Ipswich Town, after the 3-1 win over Middlesbrough in which Nimely scored.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Nimely said: "The dressing room was great when we got back there after the game. I have been really impressed with the attitude since I have joined and we are going to keep pushing forward.
"We are determined to keep this club up and we all know what we can do, and I think this result proves something to anyone doubting us.
"I don't think this group of players deserve to be at the bottom of the table and the fans deserve a lot more than they are getting.
"We want to give the fans something to cheer and they need to have a happier time when they come here. Every time they come and watch a game, they should have something to cheer for.
"At the moment, we need to take in what we did today and keep pushing."
