Coventry City manager Iain Dowie has admitted that the Sky Blues are in a relegation battle.
City have dropped from the top of the table down to 20th place and are just two points out of the bottom three ahead of the visit of Barnsley to the Arena tomorrow.
"That's where we are in the league," said Dowie to the CT. "We make no bones about it, we are in a perilous position and we must address it, but we must do that in a positive fashion and if there are bricks and bats to be thrown. then do it at me not the team.
"Pressure is one of those things you cope with but you do so because you get home and have good support from people around you and good staff around the place.
"You have to keep bold, bright and believing in what you are doing and we believe we are not far way from turning it around.
"My view has always been that if we had a bit of investment we would be a top half side and I came here and was promised x,y,z, and that has not quite happened.
"But the pressure should'nt be on the players it should be on me because I am the manager and we have got to try to turn round a disappointing run of form."
