Coventry City Life President John Sillett believes City can defy the odds and stay up.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, the former player, coach and manager said: "There will certainly be no complacency from the side. Andy won the game on Monday with his changes, which worked very well and I think the crowd saw that.
"They have been superb with Andy and backed him all the way
"I know a lot has gone on this season, but what matters now is what happens on the field. It is in everyone's interest that we pull clear and I think we can.
"We had a history of beating the odds when we were in the top division and we need to summon up that feeling again.
"I remember when I took over that we had to win two out of three - but we managed it.
"This is a very hard division but apart from Southampton, I don't think there is a lot to choose between sides.
"West Ham are up there but we had them rocking and on the ropes. If we had managed to land a punch we would have won the game."
