Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted that City have missed Leon Clarke since he left for Wolves.
Clarke could feature for the League One champions against City on Saturday and speaking about him to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Pressley said:“He was a terrific player for us and we’ve missed him, there’s no doubt about that.
“There were reasons that not everyone sees on a weekly basis; there were other issues I had to take into account when we decided to let Leon go and it was a decision we made for the better of the club moving forward.
“Through that period as well, we were without Callum Wilson for eight weeks. Franck Moussa has also been out so we have missed a number of our players who were integral in terms of our goals.
“The way we play – the way any team plays – a link player is vital in terms of being able to gain momentum, especially a team that wants to play two strikers. The link-up play with two strikers is crucial and he gave us that and a focal point.
“I really liked him as a player and as a lad as well. I had a good relationship with him and good understanding but there were just certain issues that I had to make decisions on.”
