City have not won for seven matches and the City boss told the CT:"We sat down and discussed what went wrong prior to the last two games - and look where that got us.
"It is obvious where we are going wrong - we are lacking a bit of confidence and belief, and that stubbornness we had a month ago when we went on that good run.
"Looking at the last seven games where we have not won, we have not played badly in every game by any stretch of the imagination.
"We were excellent against West Brom, excellent in the second half at Leicester and we should have beaten Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth at home and didn't.
"We lost three points to Derby and that was disappointing and on Monday we were very poor for the first 45 minutes and that was unacceptable.
"But we know the reasons why we are going wrong and it is pointless talking about it. We have got to get on with our business and there is no better game than Sheffield United away."
