Coventry City midfielder David Bell has said that the Sky Blues need more players.
Injuries have already taken its toll on the 27 man squad and Bell feels that new blood is required.
Speaking to the CT, Bell, who signed a new four year deal last week, said: "Competition is very important. "We've haven't brought in any outfield players yet but that's out of our hands. It's up to the lads who are here to get on with it but if I heard we were signing some new players in my position I'd honestly be over the moon.
"We need more bodies - everybody's said it and hopefully we can get more in. And the competition wouldn't worry me at all. I'm confident in my own ability and I've always believed I can benefit the team.
"I've had a couple of operations since I have been here but that's all behind me now and I'm looking for a good run, playing week in, week out.
"And I'll play wherever the gaffer wants me to, in midfield, or behind the front two, out wide or in the middle."
