We Need To Play To The Final Whistle -Coleman

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that the Sky Blues need to play until the final whistle.

Failing to do so in their last two games has seen City out of the FA and the dropping of a point at Ipswich Town last Saturday.

Speaking to the CT, Chris Coleman said: “We had the best record of teams that don’t concede in the last five minutes prior to the Ipswich game but it happens to everyone and we have scored late on in the past.

“You have just got to play to the whistle. "Now I complained a bit and made a bit of a situation of it when I went on the pitch to speak to the referee, and I stand by it because I don’t know where seven minutes came from.

“He played too long for us to score. It was bizarre. "But we have got to play to the whistle, end of story. If you look at our record we do generally, but we haven’t done in the last two games.

“We were 20 seconds away from beating Portsmouth and going through in the Cup and we’ve been five seconds, if you like, from getting a point at Ipswich.

"That’s how close it can be and rather than having two positive results we have had two negative ones.

"Not two negative performances, but negative results.”
