Speaking to the Sky Blue Player at the club's weekly press conference, the City manager said: "Preston have probably not had the results that they have wanted so far this season but I look at them as a side that are always capable of a couple of upsets.
"For us it's a case of concentrating very much on what we do and making sure we continue our winning form.
"I thought we were well worth the win against Bristol City performance wise but now it's about being consistent in the next game and the game after that.
"We've got two games at home back-to-back but it's only a good time for that if we come away with two wins. I'm happy with the way we have started but we have to maintain that level of concentration because football has a habit of giving you a kick up the backside if you think you arrived."
