Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis felt that his side played the better football despite their 2-1 defeat to Coventry City.
Davis told Peter Morse of the Crewe Chronicle: "I thought for the most part we played the better football. They were out to stop us but you can do that when you have a striker of the calibre of Callum Wilson, he won them the game.
"That's football and a lot of them haven't experienced that. They won't be used to it but that's how it is. We played very well and got nothing, their effort and determination deserved something from the game.
"Things didn't drop for us and we had good half-chances and their keeper was a lot busier than ours. But we are making chances.
"We will stay positive and calm. The first thing I told the players was to get their heads up. I don't like them sitting their looking at their boots, I want them to get their heads back and look at me. They know that was a very creditable performance."
