Coventry City defender Richard Keogh felt they should have dealt with Michael Chopra.
Speaking to the CT’s Alan Poole, after the 3-2 defeat to Ipswich on Saturday, Keogh said: “A striker like Chopra has got that natural instinct but we should have reacted quicker and got back to clear.
“And as for the winner that was probably a bit of naivety from us. “
“The crowd was excited because we had forced a few corners and it looked that if anybody was going to win it, it was us.
“They could sense us taking three points and moving up a couple of places and we were the same.
“I’m sure if we had started playing keep-ball the fans would have been disappointed, but when it’s that late in the day you should probably be a bit more professional about it and settle for the one point.
“The game was a bit too open and in the end it’s cost us. But that’s two games on the spin that we’ve lost like that, and it’s very hard to take.”
