The City boss has made it clear that he wants younger players, the club can get a few years from (and sell on later for a fat profit) and has brought in Kieran Westwood and Aron Einar Gunnarsson whilst last season, Ray Ranson engineered the deal to bring Danny Fox and Scott Dann to the club.
"We are trying to get a good balance and blend in the squad," said Chris Coleman to the CT. "Keiren Westwood is 23, Aron Gunnarsson is just 19 and Guillaume Beuzelin is 28. We are not trying to get free transfers in from the Premier League who are 33 or 34 to give big money for a year - we are not looking to give anyone a pension.
"We are looking to get players who are hungry and want to succeed and progress, and all three we have got fit into that category.
"You see a lot of players from this league go up and bounce straight back down, but we don't want to be doing that.
We want to get to the Premier League and then be good enough to stay there."We want to get up, stay up and go on from there and these boys are a very positive step. "We were good enough to stay in the league but weren't good enough to finish higher than fourth bottom, so there is a lot of rebuilding to be done."
