Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he wants the players to hit the ground running after a good pre-season.
The City team are today flying back from the Algarve, following five days training at the Vale de Lobo complex at the bottom of Chairman Ken Dulieu's garden and now face five matches starting with the annual trip to Nuneaton Town next Saturday (July 16th 3pm)
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said: "We want to hit the ground running so it's important we keep everyone fit and their fitness levels improve because it's a long season and we don't want the lads running out of steam come October.
"We want to maintain the levels we have reached, keep improving and finish the season strong and that's what we intend to do."
