Coventry City Development Officer Steve Waggott has said that the club do not want Callum Wilson leaving.
Tim Fisher has already said that Wilson is not for sale but after the latest speculation by Sky Sports yesterday that AFC Bournemouth are interested in Wilson as a possible replacement for Lewis Grabban, Steve Waggott told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “As Steven Pressley has said on several occasions, we don’t want to sell Callum Wilson – we want to build a team around him. Callum has also made it clear he wants to stay at Coventry City.
“We can’t stop speculation and we can’t stop other clubs being interested in him – that’s the nature of football – but we want Callum to play an important and integral role in the first-team squad next season.”
