"Games won't get much tougher or teams won;t play much better than Sheffield United did tonight but all the lads stuck to their own job and I thought they were tremendous if I do say so myself," said Coleman to the club website.
"We started really well much like we did on Saturday but I told the lads to leave it all out on the pitch and not worry if they had nothing left with 20 minutes to go because we could always change it.
"I never thought the game was over at 3-1 because there is always another corner or another free-kick but the lads showed good mental toughness and I thought every department was fantastic.
