Coventry City host Watford on Saturday and they are hoping that this will be the game in which they finally get their first points of the season.
Watford are also having a poor start to the season, having just one point from their first three games. Like City Watford are having trouble recruiting new blood into their team. but unlike Coventry, they do have some money to spend as they received around £5m in transfer fees for outgoing players like Danny Graham, Will Buckley and Don Cowie
Watford have no injury concerns ahead of the game, unlike their opponents who will be missing up to eight first choice players and may even be missing McSheffrey, who is being given less than a 50-50 chance. Bell is also highly likely to miss out again.
Watford will be at near full strength with only Scottish midfielder Stephen McGinn missing from the team-sheet.
Thorn, in his usual ebullient mood said, “We’re taken nothing for granted, because they will be like a wounded animal, but we are fully focused on the game and convinced that things will turn round for us at some stage."
“We’ve just got to keep believing, keep pushing on, because we’re not doing a lot wrong at the moment.”
