The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's League One game at Carlisle United on Sunday is David Webb from County Durham.

Mr Webb took a refereeing course after seeing an advertisement in a programme at a match and through talking to referees whilst playing local football. He promoted to the National List of Referees in 2008.

He cites one of his favourite games as the FA Vase 1/4 Quarter-Final game between Kirkham and Wesham v Coventry Sphinx FC, saying 'the match had everything both teams just going for the win it was end to end for 120 minutes played on a mud bath of a pitch and ended 3-3!!!'

His last City match was the 1-1 draw at Doncaster Rovers on March 8th 2011 and his only other game was a 1-0 win against Burnley on November 20th 2010.

This season, he has had twenty matches and shown 57 yellow cards and two red.

His assistants are; Geoffrey Liddle and Danny Markham. The Fourth Official is Paul Kettlewell.
