Coventry City defender Andy Webster feels that all the City players need to improve defensively.
The Sky Blues have conceded eight goals in two out of their last three matches and Webster told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole: “We need to improve defensively and that’s not just the goalkeeper and the back four, it’s everybody. “But in the three games we’ve played since I came here, I honestly haven’t felt as if we were under a lot of pressure.
“It’s not as if we’re being pushed back into our area and the goalkeeper is having to make loads of saves, we’ve just been going through one of those spells when every time the ball goes anywhere near our goal it ends up in the back of the net.
“When you concede a goal you’ll generally find that the defence could have done better but much as we’re disappointed to be letting in four in a game you can over-analyse these things.
“Sometimes you’ll have a game when the other team hits the post and the bar, and you’re thinking ‘how did we manage keep a clean sheet there?’ But at other times the ball will be bouncing around the box, somebody shanks a shot and it falls straight to somebody’s feet.”
