Wembley Opens At Last

Wembley Stadium finally opened this lunch time after it's modernisation. A specially arranged game saw England U21's come back to draw 3-3 with Italy.

The first goal at the new Stadium was scored after only 25 seconds by Gianpaolo Pazzini and the Italian went on to score a hat-trick.




Blackburn Rovers' David Bentley became the first England to score when he equalised. Matt Derbyshire and Wayne Routledge also netted in front of a crowd restricted to 55,700.
