Coventry City U18’s boss Greg Ricoh has that the U18’s are chomping at the bit to play after having their last two matches postponed.
The FA Premier Academy League games at Cardiff and Spurs were both postponed and although some of the players got a run out in the benefit game at Kettering Town last week, the players are keen to return to action with tomorrow's home game against Leicester City.
Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Academy boss Greg Ricoh said: "I think it is important the lads don't get too carried away and I think it is a learning curve to play local derbies like this.
"The focus has got to be there for games like this as we have had a long break away from competitive games. It doesn't need anymore additional spice as they are a good side and they are on the back of a good run.
"We are chomping at the bit, desperate for some football and there will be no better game for us to get into now than a derby.
"We have some boys in our team who are from Leicester so it will be a great experience for them. But in games like this, as a professional, you can't let your hearts maraud your minds.
"We just want to get that commitment on the pitch which we have had all season and be competitive. We are playing a good side which we have to be aware of, but we are ready for the contest."
