We're Fed Up With No Success - Keys

Coventry City fan Richard Keys has said that City supporters are fed up with the lack of success and with no investment in the team, he feels it will be a long hard season.

Speaking to the CT, Mr Keys said: “There is no money, no investment and I am telling you now, I wouldn’t wish harm on Andy Thorn or any of his current playing squad, but we don’t have the resources to get out of that league this year,

“We are now the longest serving club in the Championship by the skin of our teeth most seasons and, if I am not wrong, the only team in all four divisions that haven’t finished in the top six in the last 40 years.

“Now something has got to change because it is a pathetic record.

“There is money in the background waiting to be invested and it is proper money, and I don’t understand why those who are currently making decisions at the club don’t open their minds and doors to have a conversation.

“With crowds of 14,000 I share the frustration of the missing 14,000 because if anyone ever produces sustained success rather than promising and failing to deliver, I know people in Coventry would go and watch because we have seen it.

“But we are all just tired with broken promises and not even limited, but no success. None!

“We let balloons off when we are in the quarter final of the FA Cup. I fail to see what there is to celebrate about that.

“I have only been to the club once since they took over, with Gary at the back end of last season when I wanted to show my support for him.

“I have just never been convinced by the current owners’ intentions.

"It struck me, purely and simply, a deal for finance and it hasn’t worked out. And I never thought it would.”
