With the home grown rule coming in soon, clubs are looking for British based players to help them fulfill their quota and the talented keeper is atracting interest.
Everton have already had Westwood watched by their boss David Moyes who saw him play for City at Burnley.
So far no club has tabled a bid and it will take a big one to satisfy the City support who would rather that a player of his talent was retained for as long as possible.
Scunthorpe keeper Joe Murphy, who is rumoured to have the same agent as Westwood, has been lined up as a possible replacement.
