The keeper signed from Carlisle has impressed in pre-season and told the CT:
"I thought I did all right but it was a good team performance, particularly in the second half after the gaffer had had some stern words at half time," he said.
"To be fair, the players responded and played very well. It has been a good pre-season and we seem to be gelling nicely - all the new lads have settled in well and there's a good atmosphere.
"I am over my injury - it was nothing really, but the gaffer just didn't want to risk it with the season being so close, so the priority was to get me ready for the Kilmarnock game and get me through that.
"I am doing OK and looking forward to starting the new season as a Coventry City player on Saturday.
"I think I will have some nerves because everyone wants to play at the highest level they can and I want to prove that I can make this step up.
"It will be my first Championship game and I am really excited about it. There is less than a week to go and we have got the dreaded pre-season out of the way and we just can't wait to get started.
"The new lads have not played in front of a lot of our fans or at the Ricoh yet and it will be nice to do that and give 110 per cent for them.
"It will be a tough game, as every game will be.
"There are no guaranteed wins and the first one is always played at 100mph because Norwich will be up for it, and we will be up for it, and that should make it a good match."
