Coventry City midfielder Conor Thomas feels that the young players have to come back as men next season.
Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Thomas said: “On a personal note it is obviously good to have played so many games but it puts a bit of a dampener on it with the way the season panned out as a whole with relegation.
“Maybe I played too many games, along with a few other lads, but the main thing is the disappointment of going down.
“We have to have a little rest over the summer and then we’ve got to come back as men – stronger and better for our experience this year.
“I like to think my game has improved and I feel playing games in the first team has done me good. Steve Harrison has looked after the young boys and said we would all have highs and lows in our first season, and that we’d all have a dip along the way which we have.”
