Whelan Joins List Of Players Released

Noel Whelan has joined the name of players being released by clubs. Well over one hundred players have so far been told that they do not have a future at their current employers.

Noel Whelan who was a popular figure during his time in Coventry and the pubs of Leamington Spa, scored four times for Aberdeen this season in 23 appearances.

Coventry are expected to announce their released list tomorrow afternoon or Thursday after Micky Adams has spoken to the out of contract players.
