Coventry City manager Aidy Boothroyd has explained why he dropped Stephen O'Halloran from City's starting line up.
Speaking to the CT about O'Halloran who was again on the bench for the home defeat by Hull City, Boothroyd said; "I thought he needed a rest. "He's a young player who hadn't played a league game before he came here.
"He's without doubt got the talent but he was out for a while injured and although he did really well for the first few games his form dipped dramatically because he hasn't got the miles in the tank he needs.
"Luckily enough we had Richard Wood available to slot in. He plays wherever you want him; that's the sort of character he's got you want; somebody who will do whatever it takes for the club and that's why I made him captain against Doncaster and Bristol City."
