With the cost of fuel rising almost every time you visit the pumps, driving is an expensive thing, getting seemingly dearer by the week. But one measure which may save you a few quid watching Coventry City is car sharing.
It's bad enough having to pay these hyper-inflated prices, not helped by the level of duty on fuel emposed by the goverment, for work, etc without having to fork out a massive sum for petrol to get you to a City game at the weekend.
With ticket prices up to £26 for on the day sales and then having to pay for parking, Coventry City supporters will have to dig deep to follow the Sky Blues this season.
The club via the Supporters Consultation Group and the Sky Blue Trust are also looking at this, so we at Covsupport News Service want to back up their efforts.
Anyway, there is no fun in watching football on your own, so having a few people to chat with in the car on the way there and back to a game will not only make the journey cheaper, but more enjoyable as well.
If you are coming from out of Coventry and not from the Rugby, Kenilworth, South Wales or London areas where there are existing arrangements for City supporters, please contact us via the Email The Editor link on the home page of this site, (http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/feedback/loadcont.asp?cid=EMED ) with your name, email address, town or city and if you can offer or want a lift and are willing to chip in with the cost of petrol.
Then if there are lifts going in your area, we will put you in touch with those offering them.
