City are now eight points ahead of fourth from bottom Carlisle United who drew 0-0 at Tranmere Rovers and ten points being sixth placed Peterborough United, who don't play due to their involvement in tomorrow's JPT Final at Wembley.
Crewe are 22nd after the 2-1 defeat to the Sky Blues and are one of four clubs on forty points. This includes Notts County who are up to 19th with a 2-0 win over Colchester United, Tranmere and Carlisle. They are two points ahead of Shrewsbury who lost 1-0 at Walsall and bottom side Stevenage who drew 1-1 with Port Vale at the Lamex Stadium.
Wolves are six points clear at the top of the table after a 1-0 win at MK Dons and second placed Brentford drawing 0-0 at Oldham Athletic.
Leyton Orient stay third despite a 1-0 home defeat to Bradford City and are above Rotherham who beat Bristol City 2-1 and Preston North who beat Crawley 1-0.
Swindon are only a point off the play-offs with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United
