Coventry City striker Callum Wilson has said that he is ok to play against Walsall tomorrow night in a re-arranged League One game.
Wilson had to wear a bandage around his head after getting a cut in a clash but after having three stitches is fine and he told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “I needed three stitches after going head to head with their defender and ended up coming off the worst.
“It was just a clash of heads but it’s all right and I’ll be fine for Wednesday.”
Wilson had his first game back against Shrewsbury Town on Sunday after being out since the start of the New Year with a shoulder injury and he said about this: “My shoulder’s fine now, In fact, I don’t even think about it. The only thing on my mind now is trying to score.
“The big positive for me is getting through 90 minutes, and in a game in which we didn’t concede. We didn’t score but we got a point and kept a clean sheet, so we move on to Wednesday when we can hopefully get another clean sheet and the three points this time.”
