Wilson's Not Screwed So Far

Coventry City's Callum Wilson needs a screw removing from his foot but is prepared to wait until the end of the season to have it taken out.

Wilson, for whom 2013 has been an excellent year, after coming back from a number of long term injuries, put in some sterling performances for City U21's and has carried that into the first team this season where he is amongst the leading goalscorers in the division.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Wilson said: “It was troubling me last weekend but I was suspended anyway, but it’s basically the screw I had put in my foot last year has to come out, and it’s just a question of when it comes out. Obviously I don’t want to miss any games so I’ll get it out at the end of the season.

“The pain sort of comes and goes because of the hard ground and plays up now and again. It’s just a case of managing it right and I don’t see it as a problem.”
