Micky Adams has backed the appointment of Dennis Wise as the new Leeds United manager.
Adams who left City to sign for Leeds in 1987 told the CT: "If there's anybody that can handle that scenario it's Dennis Wise,I've got no doubt about that. "He's a strong personality, he knows what he wants, so I don't see any problems.

"I took a brave decision when I brought Dennis here as a player and I'm sure Mr Bates is thinking the same thing, that he can do a job for them.
"He won over the Coventry fans with his performances on the pitch. He's not playing now so he's got to make sure his team performs, like we all have. Leeds have under-achieved this year, but with the players they've got, they can only improve.
"If the Leeds fans give him a chance I'm sure he'll be a huge success. And that's what we all ask for, a fair chance, because all the jobs are the same these days.
