Richard Wood has said that he is delighted to have signed for Coventry City.
The 24 year old central defender joins on loan until January and told the club website: "I am delighted to have signed and I am really looking forward to working with the manager.
"I have a lot of respect for Chris Coleman who, just like me, was a centre-half and I'm hoping to learn a lot from him.
"I have been at Sheffield Wednesday all my career and I'm looking forward to the new challenges at Coventry City. There is a good young squad here and a good management team."
Wood is expected to be given a starting role against Crystal Palace on Saturday and he commented: "I have played against Palace plenty of times and this season with Sheffield Wednesday we drew 0-0.
"It is going to be a hard battle. I would say it is not going to be a pretty game because Neil Warnock's teams are always difficult to play against.
"I also know of Leon Barnett and I have seen him play plenty of times. He is a good young player and it should be a good partnership."
