Coventry City defender Richard Wood is looking to score more goals for the Sky Blues.
Wood headed in a rare goal from a corner last night against MK Dons and told Club Journalist Keiran Crowley: “It has been a long time since my last goal for the side but I am happy I have got one tonight and now of course, I want some more.
“I like going up for set-pieces and I’m always looking to attack the ball when I can. Today, I was able to get there so I was really pleased with the goal.
“The gaffer has been through a few things with us on how to attack set-pieces and I was able to find the space because of that. To be fair, Gary McSheffrey has put it on a sixpence really so it made my job easier.
“I’m really pleased to get on the score-sheet and help the side get a point. Hopefully I can do that a few more times this season.
“I want some more goals and I know I can be a threat in those areas so it has given me a lift so many more to come hopefully.”
