Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has said that his influential defender Richard Wood might be ready to play Saturday's home game against Plymouth.
It had been feared that the hip injury Wood sustained in training in the last week of February might keep him sidelined for three weeks. Now it has emerged that the 24 year old central defender has an outside chance of making the squad.
Coleman said, “Woody has got a chance for the weekend, an outside chance.”
Wood's return would be welcomed by Coleman who has Barnett still banned, Bell and Turner out and possibly requiring surgery.
