Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay, has spoken about why Richard Wood chose to move to Coventry City from the Owls.
Tudgay thinks that Wood can see strong potential that Coventry City will be in the chase for promotion to the Premiership and that is why he left Sheffield for Coventry.
Tudgay was speaking to The Yorkshire Post and told their reporter, "With Richard Wood, he is his own man and knows what he wants,"
"He wants to play at a good level and if that doesn't lie here, he isn't going to sign for a dog team, so Coventry will be one of the contenders pushing for the Premiership."
"If the clubs and he agree anything then that happens in football. Richard is not going to be a player who is just going to float around."
Richard Wood failed to agree terms for a new contract with the Owls and moved on loan to Coventry until January when it is though he will join the Sky Blues for a £500,000 fee.
