Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has told his players that some of them are playing for their futures when they take on Ipswich Town on Sunday at Portman Road (Kick Off 1.15pm).

City have slumped to 17th after poor performances in recent weeks and the City boss has already said that he is keen to start improving his squad for next season.

"There will be certain players who possibly won't be with us next year but that's for me and them to have a conversation," said Chris Coleman to the CT.

"They are not going to look at what I have said and think 'that's a surprise,' because I have said there will be changes all along.

"Some players don't mind losing, but if you have got a little bit of self pride you don't like it even if you are playing over the park on a Sunday afternoon. We'll see what happens at Ipswich.

Coleman went on to say: "I am walking round like a bear with a sore head at the minute.

"I have been very harsh on the players but it is pointless me harping on about injuries and saying how well we were doing up to February, because games don't finish at half-time and the season ends in May.

"If we keep on getting bad results you have to look at the pattern of what's happening.

"We have lost players and we are not good enough, and that's it. Maybe I speak with a bit of emotion straight after games, but when you step back and look at it I was right in what I said.

"There has got to be changes made otherwise I am not doing my job.

"So I am not going to be papering over the cracks and I imagine there will be one or two unhappy people around at the minute and I can't say I care about that. I don't.

"All I care about is being successful and to do that I need to make some changes and that's what I am going to do."
