Coventry City manager Andy Thorn felt that his young players got better the longer last night's game at Hinckley United progressed.
"I don’t want to talk about the young boys too much because I think in the first ten minutes they started to believe the things that had been written about them at Nuneaton," said Thorn to the CT.
“It took them a long time to settle down and they were sloppy and we don’t expect that because we have got standards to maintain.
“But they got better as the game went on and Conor scored a terrific goal – one of those goals that quality players score. So everyone did well.
“Gael Bigirimana is learning off Sammy Clingan and the senior players are taking the younger ones under their wing, so you can see that they are almost copying each other now, which is good.
"So I was really pleased in what was a terrific evening’s work.
“We are looking forward to the next game at Kettering on Saturday and it is all about a steady progression and going about things the right way
