Coventry City and Bristol City got the point that both sides wanted,
Three games left of the season and Coventry City travelled to take on a Bristol City side.
The words "Tough Test" did not cover a game which saw Bristol City needing a minimum of a point to take the League One title against a City side still requiring a result to preserve their league status.
In the 26 games that City have played against the champions elect from the south, City have lost twenty four times and only drawn twice.
Tony Mowbray named an unchanged side for this game which had Blair Turgott, Andy Webster, George Thomas, Cian Harries and Jack Finch amongst City supporters from Brighton, Southampton, Basingstoke, London, Kent, Cambridgeshire, as well as the Midlands.
Frank Nouble, had the first chance of the match in the fourth minute with a powerfully hit shot that went just over.
Five minutes later and the home side won a corner and forced Burge to save.
With Nouble booked for a foul, and the City support cheering for Pete Tierney when he brought out some coats on a sunny afternoon, Korey Smith drove wide from the edge of the area.
Pack was booked for a foul on Reda Johnson who was denied a penalty when he was held as the free kick came over.
Bryan joined the list of bookings in the 24th minute before Proschwitz put over a good ball to find Jim O'Brien in a central position.
Unfortunately. O'Brien could not keep the shot down and fired over the bar, for a City side in white shirts and Sky Blue shorts.
Proschwitz got some abuse from the City support for shooting into a defender when Jim O'Brien was free on the right.
"Go For It" sang the City supporters, as City attacked and Fleck got in a shot that Fielding had to get down to and beat away.
City won their first corner in the 36th minute and Ward took the kick and picked out Johnson but his header was easily caught by Fielding.
The Sky Blues were the better side with O'Brien beating his marker and whipping in a 42nd minute cross that Fielding had to catch.
A minute later and Grant Ward went on a run and curled a left footed shot inches wide of Fielding's right hand post from twenty yards.
Bristol City won a corner and Proschwitz put the ball in the net as a good half for the Sky Blues ended.
With one City fan thrown out at half-time, the Sky Blues attacked the end where a new stand is being built.
Pennington and Johnson, who was having a superb game, blocked a 51st minute attack as a flock of seagulls hovered around the ground.
A Fleck pass gave the home side an attack that Burge caught easily and Agard headed wide.
Nouble worked well with O'Brien to get in a shot at Fielding on the hour mark, before Willis was harshly booked.
Bristol City won a 63rd minute corner and another before Willis was forced off and Aaron Phillips came on, with Willis getting a great reception from the City fans.
Agard fired over on the turn in the 68th minute and three minutes later, City had a free kick which Proschwitz sent agonisingly wide.
With fifteen minutes left, City had a kick on the edge of the box. A chorus of the Sky Blue Song rang out but the ball hit the wall.
Pennington was booked for a shove and City won a 79th minute corner.
Freeman fired wide with a poor shot and Maddison came on for O'Brien for the last eight minutes,
Proschwitz had a shot saved by Fielding and Odelusi came on for Nouble and was involved straight away having a shot that Fielding smothered.
City defended well and even had a couple of late chances and the point both sides wanted was attained.
