Coventry City supporters made their feelings known that they are sick of the poor performances under Steven Pressley during an embarrassing 2-0 defeat at Doncaster Rovers.‎

It was a cold, frosty morning in Coventry as some of the City support set off for Doncaster Rovers where at The Keepmoat Stadium it was as equally as frosty.
It was a decent turnout for a day when there is no trains etc and there were 898 City supporters from as far away as Brighton and Kent as well as some our northern based support‎

City boss Steven Pressley had spent some of Christmas Day in Scotland but was back to name a City side which saw James Maddison and Jack Finch start with Frank Nouble on the bench.‎

The Sky Blues attacked the end for the first half where the City support were but the action was down the other end with a corner ‎that was swung over and after not being dealt with, Andy Butler heading in with less than two minutes gone.

‎Adam Barton who was not on the team coach, drove wide before James Maddison went down in the area - another blatant penalty as but Mr Kavangh in his first season as a Football League referee, booked Maddison when he went down for a second time under a challenge a few seconds later, instead.

Two minutes after this caution, Doncaster had Harry Forrester booked for a foul on Maddison, to hoots of derision from the City support.

Coventry with Fleck involved started to pass the ball against a side which has struggled at home this season but in the 22nd minute, Harry Forrester raced down the left and then smashed the ball into the far corner for Donny's second goal.
The City support keeping singing as Jim O'Brien fired well wide in the 35th minute and then over from inside the area a minute later.

This was a City side guilty of some sloppy passing and some clumsy challenges and one that needed some strong words with at half-time.

There were no changes at the break ‎for a City team whose supporters continuing to back the team with choruses of "Twist And Shout" and "La La La Sky Blues"

Instead of being fired up City team, the players trotted out seemingly without a care in the world and more weak defending allowed Doncaster two corners and a 55th minute shot across the area from Forrester.

If City were to get back in this game, then they needed to go 4-4-2 and Steven Pressley was firmly told that by the City support who had been calling for Frank Nouble.

Pressley instead sent on Simeon Jackson ‎and City did force the underworked Johnstone to come out and punch a half chance away in the 66th minute.

‎Nouble finally came on to big applause replacing the hapless Jim O'Brien, whose leadership skills today were exceedingly questionable, but in the 74th minute, a tackle from Adam Barton saw him cautioned for a second time and he was sent off.

By now with Rovers able to do what they wanted on the pitch, the mood of the City fans turned and got even worse when James Maddison was sent off in the 76th minute for a second bookable.

Rovers wasted two good chances ‎as the City support sang about how embarrassing this was, with more Pressley Out calls, taunts that Carl Baker should have been retained along with others and that they were sick of the team being rubbish, as another Doncaster free kick sailed over the bar with two minutes left.

‎City won a late corner which Johnstone pounced on with ease but this was embarrassing and the sooner action is taken to remedy this the better.
