Coventry City showed why they have been relegated with a 3-1 defeat at Scunthorpe United.
Considering there was nothing at stake for City, the turn out of City supporters who made it clear what they think of the likes of Tim Fisher, David Boddy and others whilst doing their best to support the team, was excellent and there was plenty of gallows humour from the City support for a team which saw Chris Camwell get his debut.
Scunthorpe threatened but it was the Sky Blues who took the lead in the 35th minute when Vladimir Ghadzev got through and scored with a low drive.
Six minutes in the second half, The Irons drew level with a scorching shot from Van Veen and with eight minutes left went ahead with a lovely Bishop shot.
Scunthorpe inflicted another defeat on City who relied on shots from George Thomas in the second half when Adelakun smacked home a third in the 89th minute after being allowed to roam free.
