Coventry City progressed into the JPT Area Finals with a 4-0 win at York City.
There was a not too bad turn out of the 374 City supporters who made the trip to York and some of those enjoyed some fine pubs amongst the City's many visitor attractions and they stood on the terrace or sat in the seats of a Bootham Crescent stadium which York have plans to vacate, to see the Sky Blues start with Callum Ball up front alongside David McGoldrick.
York, managed by former City Reserve team boss Gary Mills and fielding former Bedworth player Matty Blair, put the pressure on the Sky Blues.
Nathan Cameron and Richard Wood kept things tight and cleared York's third corner of the game in the 14th minute allowing Moussa to break and get in a shot which the home keeper flapped at, giving City a corner.
John Fleck had a couple of efforts on goal as did Walker before Richard Wood got a bang in the face and was forced off and replaced by Cyrus Christie on the half hour mark.
York had three corners before a poor half ended and there was a big cheer from both sets of supporters in the crowd of 3771 at half time when Cup hero for both club's Keith Houchen was unveiled.
We don't know what Mark Robins said at the break but City were up for the second half.
McGoldrick won a corner and then crossed for Ball to head wide in front of the City support and Tim Fisher, Steve Waggott and Associate Director Noel Hand.
In the 57th minute, City took the lead when substitute Clarke Carlisle made a hash of a pass given to him by Michael Ingham and David McGoldrick made the most of the home keeper being nowhere to fire City ahead.
The goal had City chomping at the bit and McGoldrick, Moussa and Baker all went close before another defensive error played in Callum Ball who celebrated his 20th birthday yesterday, to race through to make it 2-0 in the 71st minute.
Eight minutes later, the delighted City support, who were enjoying some banter with the home keeper, were cheering once again when David McGoldrick attacked on the left.
He got to the left of the area and sent over a ball which Jamal Fyfield could only turn into his own net.
York had a shot cleared off the line in the 87th minute but a good night's work was completed when substitute Chris Hussey was played through and scord with a low shot to give City a memorable 4-0 win.
